ECOPACK is an polyethylene terephthalate sheet (PET), produced in Venezuela by PLASTICOS ECOPLAST, C.A. which is located in Guatire, Miranda state.
PET is a thermoplastic, which is rigid, has a high resistence and crystallize easily; it could be oriented and laminated, and offers some advantages such as excellent gas barrier properties, resistance to wide range of petroleum and chemicals and excellent dielectric properties.
ECOPACK sheet’s presentation is in rolls with a maximun width of 800 mm, a thickness range between 150 to 800 microns, and it has an additive that is coated on the surface for helps during process which is composed by:
1) Anti-static: it eliminates the electrostatic charges produced on the material surface during film manufacturing, and wich are responsible of dust sticking and manage problems.
2) Anti-blocking: improves the surface film’s rugosity because of the presence of dispersed microscopic particles. It allows the separation of both sides of PET film without troubles.
PET film is an material with an excellent transparency and high gloss, could be easily thermoformed with conventional machines and is widely used for packaging (foodstuff packaging such as tablets,chocolate,fruits,eggs; medical blisters, blisters in general) and for applications where the high transparency is needed such as boxes, offering excellent mechanical , high barrier properties and is recyclable.
Most of food packaging, boxes folding, cosmetics, medical and thermoformed products requires specials materials which provides a good presentation and UV stability. Food packaging is an specific case, because it has more requirements, but PET is one  of the materials that ensures the sanitation of  packaging, because it acomplishes with the  stablished policies from FDA (Foods and Drugs  Administration)

The resulting products from the above mentioned divisions are guaranteed quality due to the fact that we count with laboratory equipment that enables to determine the density, melt flow index (MFI), and percentage of material degression. We also have equipment that reproduce their behavior throughout the process.

  5. We count with the knowledge of highly qualified professionals as well as technicians to transform the waste in material of high quality.
  6. It counts with a teaching center and a greenhouse for children’s education in the plastic recycling area.
